Welcome to Barone Restaurants, home of vera cucina italiana (true italian cuisine).It all began in Naples, Italy, the city of eternal sunshine. "Nonno" (Grandpa) Giovanni Barone, a man with a passion for Southern Italian Food and a prodigious talent for transforming fresh and simple ingredients into culinary works of art, opened the first "Trattoria Barone", a small, intimate restaurant located just below his living quarters. It quickly grew into a neighborhood success. Out on the streets, you could hear the kitchen pulsing with life; clattering pots, sizzling pans, and nonno"s intense voice rising above the dining room directing his fellow workers and ensuring that every dish  was prepared with the utmost care. Trattoria Barone wasn"t just a place for eating and drinking. For many people, it was almost like home. Family and friends gathered to celebrate various occasions, reminisce over past experiences, or just to reflect on the days events. This was the essence of italian life. Nonno would emerge in the kitchen, gaze upon the scene, and a contentment would always always fill his soul, for this was the realization of his dream. Unfortunately, Naples was experiencing economic hardship during the post World War II years, and nonno was forced to close the doors of his beloved "Trattoria Barone". The vision however will not end. Nonno"s son Guido, who actually spent many nights toiling away in the kitchen as a little boy, held Trattoria Barone close to his heart and vowed to continue the tradition. Now over forty years later, Guido, together with his sons Vincenzo and Giovanni bring the authentic taste of Trattoria Barone to your neighborhood. Nonno would certainly be proud.
